In July 2005 a union construction and investment corporation , capitalized at US $ 40 million, was founded by a group of Palestinian and Arab experienced businessmen backed up by some investment companies in the Arab world with the aim of creating a special investment environment in Palestine, through which construction and development works will be carried out.

As a result of the concerted efforts founders subscribed for 60% of the corporation's nominal capital, 40% was offered for public subscription based on 4 installments, all of which have been paid.

UCI has issued its first balance sheet as of 31/12/2006 that depicts almost 0.5 million dollar in profit.

UCI's shares were listed on the Palestine Securities Exchange where the shares have been actively traded since then.

UCI is making arrangement for its shares to be listed on the other Arab Securities Exchange.
